Swirl Packaging Design

Designing the packaging for Swirl posed a unique challenge in keeping it simple, but eye catching enough to stand next to it’s competition. To start the process, I went to work designing the assets for the box. First, I modified the swirl icon and put it over the product type. This would be where the color would come into play to help distinguish which type the customer was picking up. Finally, I got the three product icons drawn for cruelty free, all skin types, and clean cosmetics.

After all the elements were done, it was just a matter of setting up the template for the three different products Swirl was going to put out. The colors were adjusted for each product and my description text for the back of the packaging was added. Swirl wanted the description to be friendly and informative, and after a couple revisions, the packaging was approved.

Programs used: Illustrator, Photoshop, Dimension.
